Quit Smoking with Online Social Networking

It seems the more we play with online social networking, the more possibilities emerge for its practical use in every day life.

Qwitter, which is powered by Twitter, is a new social networking tool developed by Tobacco Free Florida as an attempt to help people quit smoking.

According to the Qwitter site, users can keep track of how many cigarettes they smoke, keep an online journal, track their progress and share it with others.

It's exciting to see what develops when organizations think outside the box (or in this case, carton)!

Joe Says: While the constant message updates on Qwitter can get a bit annoying, there is definitely something to be said for strength in numbers. If you or someone you know is struggling to quit smoking, give Qwitter a shot!

This is Joe, signing off.
