Always Have a Backup

My phone's battery mysteriously drained really really fast today. I don't know how it happened. I don't know why it happened. All I know is that by 4:30pm the battery had drained completely and I had no phone. By 5:30pm, I left the office and had no connection to the Internet whatsoever.

I knew I had to hang around Manhattan for a while as I had a meeting on the Upper West Side at 8pm but - oh crap, I forgot to get the address of the restaurant before I left the office.

"I'll just check my email on my Blackberry," I thought. Nope. No phone.

"I better send a text message and let them know I will be unreachable." Oh, shoot.

"What time is it?"

These are just some of the things that were running through my head.

Joe Says: It's time for me to actually write things down... and to get a watch.

This is Joe, signing off.

I hate that feeling...it's like when I leave the house without my wig. Pure tragedy!

I would definitely implode without my phone.
